A New Kind of Normal

Ok, I need advice.

Recently, the lockers in my classroom were removed. In their absence is a large space along the wall now. I originally wanted to paint the wall with idea paint (to turn it into a giant whiteboard…) but the division has told me that I am not allowed to do so. I was somewhat considering buying a couch and some little bean bag chairs to put in the space for a reading corner (reading…wall?), but I have some reservations about that. Here are my thoughts:

Pro’s:

Students might love the reading space

It will fill the space that is rather unsightly now

My classroom will be the cool classroom

Cons:

I will have to pay for the furniture with my own money (probably)

The space may become distracting

My classroom will be the cool classroom.

Ideas? What do you think??
